The Arab-Ata mausoleum is located in the Samarqand Province of Uzbekistan.
Built on top of a tepa, or triangular-shaped hill, in the 10th Century, the mausoleum fills an important gap in understanding the evolution of mausoleum architecture in Central Asia. [1]
This site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List on January 18th, 2008 in the Cultural category[1].
